Tristan Thompson Accused Of Not Paying $40,000 A Month In Child Support By Son's Aunt

Highlights

  • NBA star Tristan Thompson has been accused multiple times of failing to fulfill his child support obligations for his five children.
  • The aunt of his eldest child, Prince, called out Tristan on Instagram for prioritizing others over being a real parent to Prince.
  • While Tristan reached a child support agreement with the mother of his second youngest son, he may not be paying child support to Khloe Kardashian due to her higher net worth.

Tristan Thompson is a father-of-five, but the NBA star has now been accused on multiple occasions of failing to financially provide for his children. Most recently, the aunt of his eldest child, 6-year-old son Prince, said Tristan doesn’t fulfill child support obligations.

“It has been so hard to refrain from speaking up, and out of respect for my sister’s privacy, I haven’t for over 7 years, but this is just too much,” Kai Craig posted to Instagram on Thursday, October 5. Kai is the sister of Jordan Craig, who gave birth to her son Prince shortly after Tristan began dating Khloe Kardashian.

Kris Jenner has been dating Corey Gamble since 2014, but there’s another role that Jenner loves — being a grandmother.

“It’s so painful to see how Tristan can find the time to do these nice things for others but can’t seem to show up and be a real parent for my nephew Prince,” Kai continued.

It was previously reported that Tristan was reported to pay $40,000 per month to Jordan to care for their son, as a court established in 2019. With five children, a report by The Sun says the athlete could be paying nearly $2 million a year in child support.

However, in December 2022, Tristan reached a child support agreement with Maralee Nichols, the mother of his second youngest son, Theo, 2. But the fitness trainer didn’t get nearly $40,000 in child support. Rather, a court decided Tristan must pay almost $10,000 a month to her.

Maralee previously sued Tristan ahead of their son’s birth, as she claimed he wasn’t financially providing as well as was denying paternity.

Despite reaching a child support and custody arrangement (which entitled Tristan to supervision), Maralee has continued to maintain Tristan refuses to meet their son.

It’s also possible that Tristan isn’t paying child support to Khloe Kardashian, with whom he shares two children. Their youngest child, son Tatum, 1, was born via surrogate shortly after it was publicly revealed that Tristan and Maralee conceived a baby while he was in a relationship with Khloe.

Khloe has a net worth of $60 million, which is much higher than Tristan’s reported personal fortune of $45 million. So, even if Khloe has their kids for the majority of the time, Tristan may not be on the hook for paying her child support, unlike the mothers of his other children.
